Chicken a l’Orange

wpid-20150323_204027.jpgI have been looking for a good orange chicken recipe for a while now, and finally found one that seemed interesting in a slow-cooker magazine I picked up at the grocery store. I tried a orange chicken recipe once that used orange pop and it was actually pretty good! This one however used orange marmalade to achieve it’s flavour which gives the chicken a whole new dimension of taste and texture. The recipe couldn’t be any easier, the hardest thing would be just chopping onions.


8 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1/2 cup chopped onion

1 12 oz. jar orange marmalade

1/2 cup Russian dressing

1 Tbsp. dried parsley, or to taste

Hot cooked rice


  1. Place chicken and onion in slow-cooker
  2. Combine marmalade and dressing. Pour over chicken. Sprinkle with parsley
  3. Cover and cook on LOW 4 to 6 hours
  4. Serve with rice
