Happy Doughnut Day!

Happy Doughnut Day everyone! If you’ve never heard of Doughnut Day before, this wonderful day celebrates more than just this yummy treats deliciousness. It actually found it’s roots from a Doughnut Day event created by the Salvation Army in 1938. This event was to honour the men and women who served doughnuts to the brave soldiers fighting in World War I. While this holiday is traditionally an American one, many Canadian doughnut stores are jumping on board as well and if you keep your eye out today, you just may see places offering some free doughnuts! If not, I have provided some yummy eye candy for your enjoyment as well. Happy Doughnut Day everyone!
