Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Here is a great recipe for garlic mashed potatoes. They are super easy, and made right in the slow-cooker. My boyfriend and I loved them, the only complaint we had was that they could use a little more garlic. That was only because I had accidentally misread the recipe and added 1/4 tsp. instead of 3/4 tsp. So make sure you watch that! This is a great set-it-and-forget-it recipe and I would highly recommend. If you would like to try it out for yourself, please see below!

2 lbs. baking potatoes, unpeeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes

1/4 cup water

3 Tbsp. butter, sliced

1 tsp. salt

3/4 tsp. garlic powder

1/4 tsp. pepper

1 cup milk

  1. Combine all ingredients except milk in slow cooker. Toss to combine
  2. Cover and cook on high 3 hours and 15 minutes, or on low 7 hours
  3. Transfer potato mixture to a mixing bowl. Add milk and mash with potato masher or beat with electric mixer until fairly smooth
  4. Return mashed potatoes to slow cooker 2 hours before serving. Cover and cook on low
  5. Stir before serving
