Weekly Photo Challenge: State of Mind

Here is my photo to represent this weeks photo challenge theme, “State of Mind“.  A few weeks ago, I was struck by the beauty of the view out of my kitchen window and decided to snap a quick picture. This is that picture, and I think that it represents my “state of mind” because I feel that it showcases the idea of something beautiful on the horizon.

I’ve gone through a few rough patches in the recent months, but always tried to keep looking forward to what was coming ahead. By staying true to my course, I am now starting to reap the benefits of keeping myself in a positive state of mind through those tough times. I have a few exciting new job prospects that I am looking into, I have had one or two wonderful people become additions to my life and I have picked up a couple new hobbies/talents as of late that I am quite proud of. By reminding myself that there is beauty on the horizon, I was able to turn my rough patches into learning experiences and grow from them.

  1. Such a beautiful sunset. It’s moments like these when we slow down to remind ourselves that there are things to appreciate around us. Sorry to hear that you’ve been going through a rough patch, but good to hear that you’ve been positive. I try to keep positive too when I’m down. By being positive, there is always hope and when there is hope, we dare to dream 🙂
